AET Record Book FAQs and Due Dates
The AET Record book system must be closed on April 1st of each year- to be closed means all entries in journals and finacials are current through April 1st, all applications have been completed, printed, and proofed by the student.  Upon completion- applications must be submitted to the advisors for review.  

Students requiring assistance must seek assistance throughout the school year from their classroom ag teacher or species advisor.  

Due Dates and Processes are explained below: 

April 1st- All Degree, Proficiency, and other applications are due to an agricultural science teacher.  
April 6-13- All applications are reviewed for accuracy, errors, and other issues by all agriscience instructors.  Issues are addressed with individual students and must be fixed and returned in a timely manner. 
May 3-  All Degree, proficiency, and other applications are taken to the District 2 Advanced Degree Check.  Applications are then reviewed further by other agricultural science teachers in District 2.  Any issues are addressed with agriscience teachers, students are given a short window to fix errors. If there are no errors the application advances to Area 5 degree check.  
May 7- All degree, proficiency, and other applications are taken to the Area 5 Advanced degree check where applications are further reviewed by many other agriscience teachers.  Errors and issues are addressed and students are given a short (24hr) window to fix any errors.  If there are no errors the application advances to State degree check. 
June 8-9-  All degree, proficiency and other applications are reviewed for the final approval of application.  If there are no errors or red flags the student will receive their State degree at the State Convention and American degrees are notified of approval to proceed to National Convention where they receive their American Degree at a ceremony.
